The unsurprising fact that our opinions differ has been noted for the record. I hope that one day you will finally find a game you can actually enjoy? as much as I enjoy RIFT, and I really truly mean that.

It was intended to evoke images of Billy Mays and other infomercial salesmen so it sounds like it hit the spot I was aiming for. What you were hearing was simply someone who is passionate about something speaking about it with vigor. It’s understandable that in the ultra-jaded and cynical world of gaming hearing something like this would seem? foreign. Yes it was a bit advertorial sounding but in the end there’s nothing to sell because I was hyping a free-to-play event.

for those that say WoW is dying. yeah it is prob on the decline, but it will take a couple years to chip away at the millions of players to find new hobbies. Rift took a little, but they just? hit 1 million. SW will take a good chunk, but at the same time will prob mortally wound or kill Rift, so there goes another WoW killer. If SW lives up to the hype and people stick to it, it will still take 1-2 more great MMOs or just big online games to really kill WoW.

@bigdaveischeap It wasn’t so? much what you were doing. It was how you were doing it. Sounded like some super fan boy or even more like an employee of Trion. Honestly the verbiage you chose just goes over the line IMO. Your are not simply being a fanboy but more like trying to sell a product. It just threw me off seeing that come from a TGN video.

your kidding me about the pvp right, at level 50 you have to grind for COUNTLESS hours just to get up rank, by the time your done there, you have to grind the favor or w/e aswell, fk that i got to rank 4 and quit lol, and at R4 you still get rolled? by R6 cuz the games pvp system is fking stupid

I’m simply reporting on a great event in one? of the many games TGN features. Not everyone loves the same things. I find RIFT to be a breath of fresh air, I enjoy the leveling, the lore, the dungeon design, the PvP, even the crafting. Trion are great devs that take feedback and appreciate the player base, it’s hard to contest that, and that’s one of the things that adds to many players enjoyment. Sorry you didn’t enjoy RIFT, hope you can eventually find a game you can enjoy.

Oh and yeah I was laughing a little at a 1/2 BDay celebration. With new and promising MMOs on the horizon, along with the 10 million monster over at Blizzard, I would? think they dont believe they will last for the 1 year celebration lol, just the first thought I had when I logged on.

I quit wow right before firelands, decided to play rift till sw, and yeah this game is just boring. I raid, but thats just 3 times a week. And I am prob gonna just quit. Was hoping to have a good filler, but yeah the content they add is boring and useless. Might be for? some people, but not for me. If youre new to MMOs you might like it, but I would compare it to Vanilla WoW level of design. Maybe some of the decent Xbox games coming out will fill my gamer void till SW..
