Zen Studios, purveyor of fine virtual pinball games, has formally announced Marvel Pinball (first outed by a ratings board leak), coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network at some point during December.

Marvel Pinball is a set of tables themed after characters from the Marvel universe, and will work as DLC within the well-received Pinball FX 2 on the Xbox 360. The tables will be packaged as a standalone game on the PlayStation Network. Initially, four different tables will be available, featuring Blade, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Iron Man — all visible in our gallery below.

Zen says it has “access to the entire Marvel Universe IP” and promises “regular DLC content” for Marvel Pinball throughout 2011 “and beyond.”

Perhaps it’s just an amazing coincidence, but one of next week’s Rock Band DLC selections is especially timely. In light of Viacom’s plan to sell off developer Harmonix, the addition of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” is in line with the developer’s insistence that everything is A-OK.

That song is just one of the Bee Gees tracks available, which will join singles from legendary bluesman B.B. King and Procol Harum. Here’s the list:
•         Bee Gees – “Jive Talkin’”
•         Bee Gees – “Night Fever”
•         Bee Gees – “Stayin’ Alive” X
•         Bee Gees – “Nights on Broadway”
•         Bee Gees – “Tragedy”
•         Bee Gees – “You Should Be Dancing”
•         B.B. King – “The Thrill Is Gone” X
•         Procol Harum – “A Whiter Shade of Pale”

Tracks will be available individually for $ 1.99/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points. The Bee Gees Pack 01 will set players back $ 9.99/800 Microsoft Points/1,000 Wii Points. The songs marked with an X can be upgraded to include pro guitar and pro bass parts for $ .99/80 Microsoft Points/100 Wii Points.

Modern Warfare 3 Coming In 2011?

by Salat on November 4, 2010 · 0 comments

Amidst all the financial reporting during its quarterly call to investors and analysts, Activision let slip that a Call of Duty FPS is scheduled to be released in 2011.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said,"We will launch a new first-person action title during the back half of 2011." This was later confirmed by Activision COO Thomas Tippl, who said that "Next year's Call of Duty will be a first-person shooter."

Many are speculating that this FPS is actually Modern Warfare 3, which is already known to be in development by Infinity Ward.  There is also a third-person action/adventure Call of Duty game in development, being created by new Activision subsidiary Sledgehammer Games.

Either way, it looks like the company's commitment to pumping out Call of Duty games is very real.
