Id Software’s first person shooter Rage has won three separate awards at the E3 2010 Game Critics Awards, including Best Console Game, Best Action Game, and a “Special Commendation for Graphics”.

Although announced in 2007, little was seen of the post-apocalyptic title, which also includes racing and action role-playing elements, until this year’s E3. The game was the only title to win three awards, with its five nominations also leading the pack.

The new Nintendo 3DS portable picked up two awards, including the prestigious Best of Show and Best Hardware – beating both Kinect and Move. Harmonix’s Dance Central also won two awards, with Best Original Game and “Best Motion Simulation Game”.

Michael Jackson Game Titled, Dated

by Salat on July 10, 2010 · 0 comments

Do you remember the time Ubisoft ended that E3 press conference with a Michael Jackson dance sequence? Ubisoft has lifted the veil on the performance-based game honoring the King of Pop.

The full title will be Michael Jackson: The Experience and will release on PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 using each platform's unique motion sensing tech (Move, Motion Plus, Kinect).

Kinect will project the image of the player on screen, plus with the camera's microphone, your performance will be completely hands-free. For the PS3's Move-compatible version a microphone will be used separately in a singing mode. Details are still unclear for the Wii version.

The Experience will also make its way to the portable space on DS and PSP where you'll simply tap along to the rhythm to MJ's most popular tracks.

Michael Jackson: The Experience will hit retail this November.
