Following today’s NPD reports for May 2011, Sony announced that PlayStation 3 hardware sales have increased 14 percent year-over-year, and that the platform has now seen its fourth consecutive month of sales growth. “We are pleased to see that according to the May NPD report, PlayStation 3 hardware sales increased 14% year-over-year,” said Patrick Seybold, Sony’s director of corporate communications. The long-anticipated (by somebody, I’m sure) PS3 port of the Wii hit No More Heroes (the original) — dubbed No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, which has to be the first title ever to contain consecutive uses of a single word — actually is still coming to North America. But instead of saying the Movie-powered game is coming to North America at some point, I can say that it’s coming to North America on August 16.
