Introduced in Halo: Reach as a replacement for Halo 3′s notorious skulls, the datapads are, at this early date, still quite mysterious. Seemingly serving no other purpose than providing bragging rights, they give completionists a reason to scour the game’s single-player levels with a fine-toothed comb.
Two datapads are available for each level, one which will appear on Easy/Normal/Hard difficulty, and the other on Legendary. Check back soon for information about where and how to find each and every one!

It seems that if you’ve just bought Halo: Reach and are looking to play co-op on your 4GB 360, you’re out of luck for the time being. If you attempt to play co-op you get the following message: “One or more players do not have the hard drive required for this game type.”. From Microsoft’s support FAQ:
Q1: The error “One or more players do not have an Xbox 360 Hard Drive. An Xbox 360 Hard Drive is required to play co-op on Xbox LIVE or system link” occurs when I try to play. Why?
A1: One or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 certified hard drive.
However, speaking to Eurogamer a Microsoft spokesperson said ”We are aware of the issue and are quickly working to resolve it.”, and insisted that the issue was temporary.

It's not easy being a game developer. You slave for months to craft the most epic hunting game yet, and Microsoft stomps all over your glory by popping out another Halo game on the same day. Luckily, the gents over at Mega64 are here to give Cabela's North American Adventures — the other "final chapter in a blockbuster franchise" released this week — the respect it deserves.
In Mega64's latest video, we get a look at the heartbreak and outrage felt by the Cabela's team when they discover that Bungie is releasing Halo: Reach day and date with their latest masterpiece. The team doesn't take things lying down though; they march right over to Bungie HQ and make their voices heard.

The craziest part? This isn't the first time a scheduling conflict like this has happened. As hinted at in the video, Halo 3 was actually released on the same date as Cabela's Trophy Bucks, the "greatest first-person shooter ever made." And then again last year, with Halo 3: ODST releasing at the same time as Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010. Does Activision know something we don't? Do they somehow sell more Cabela's by having it hit shelves the same time as Halo?

If you're a hardcore Halo fan, odds are you're rushing home with a new copy of Reach as this story is getting posted. However, we have a 15-minute look at the second level of the game if you're on the fence about whether or not to purchase Bungie's farewell to the series.
When the video picks up, the UNSC has already figured out that the Covenant are on the planet (along with sinister intentions). It's up to Noble Team to take out whatever alien scum they encounter. Take a look below:
