Nope, we’re not doing it. There won’t be any lazy, cold-related puns in this post. Whispering even one will summon unbearable memories of Arnold Schwarzenegger, so go ahead and put the whole idea on … PAUSE.

The game works with toys you can purchase in stores and place on a piece of hardware called the “power portal,” which brings the characters into the Skylanders game. Everything you do with your character is saved to the statue you bought in the store, and you can take those toys to friends’ houses and play there, or transfer to a game on a different system and play there. And the more toys you buy, the more characters you can play in the game.
Sounds like a bit of a racket, but at least it’s a cool idea. Check out the trailer below to see the game in action.
Following some server stability issues, Rift Update 1.4: Legacy of the Fallen is live in North America and will soon launch in Europe. This patch adds some new PvP options to the game, including PvP rifts and the Whitefall Steppes Alternate Warfront. Trion Worlds has released a new trailer to show off these features, so check it out below!
Gameplay of the game formerly known as Agent Squeek is released on the interwebs…
Looks like Firemint are putting their Flight Control experience to good use with SPY mouse. The game sees you grabbing cheese and sneaking it past dastardly cats. Controls look to employ a similar route-style mechanic, instead of directly controlling the mouse itself [...]

The latest Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer talks up the game’s multiple combat options – balls-out shooting, stealth, tactics, explosions, augments, and more.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late August.
Paradox Interactive is known for the most faithful, in-depth strategy games around, and Supreme Ruler: Cold War is no exception. Set during the uneasy truce that left much of the world cowering under the threat of nuclear annihilation, the game allows you to take control of a global superpower, furthering your interests and grinding your enemies to dust.
The level of detail shown in the trailer below is nothing short of astounding. I’m pretty sure achieving success in the game actually qualifies you to administrate a Soviet satellite nation. Given the lack of real-world consequences in game, however, I’m not sure I’d want some bloodthirsty strategy gamer with his hand on the red telephone.
Battle of the Immortals’ new expansion ticks all the requisite boxes: Gigantic Pauldrons? Check. Bigger melee weapons? Check? Mystical causeways spanning pools of roiling lava? Check. Colorful, four-digit numbers floating effervescently skyward? Present and accounted for.
The trailer below does show off some interesting touches, however. The giant limbs of what can only be a Titan smashing down on the intrepid adventurers? That was cool. Especially the giant boot. Came outta nowhere! End boss “Kronos the God-King” sounds like a badass — I wonder if that was his boot.
The clip also promises things that will no doubt make sense to veteran players, like “new Soul Armor” for all classes. Think Perfect World’s new update has the goods? Check out the trailer and decide.
For whatever reason, Namco Bandai decided to let fans name a video game. The name has now been chosen: Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi. Well ok then. I’m gonna guess nobody struggled too hard with that one.
That makes two press releases Namco has sent out today about games with the word “ultimate” in the title. But, yeah, the fans have spoken, and Namco also announced the game’s release date: Ultimate Tenkaichi will hit PS3 and 360 on October 25, which puts it up against Battlefield 3. Not bad counterprogramming, since the two games aren’t exactly going for the same group of gamers. Now, if only somebody would make a game for me that week…
