At first glance, one might assume it’s footage from the new, possibly derailed Mortal Kombat movie. Another possibility, given the video’s proximity to E3 and its introductory nature, is that this is a tease for the next Mortal Kombat game. Furthermore, the name of the newly created YouTube account is MortalKombatRebirth, which sounds like a perfectly suitable title for a new entry in the series. A third and altogether frightening possibility: This is all a prelude to a new movie / game tie-in. gameinformer magazine had an interview with the creator of teh mortal kombat franchise and he was asked about this movie that was suppose to be in teh making he said there is no new mortle kobat movie in production this trailor was created by an up comin movie producer and teh guy use the kortle kombat theme just to show what kind of work hes able to do so no there is no new mortle kobat movie comin out the proof is in the mag stated by the mortle kombat creator

It may not hold true to the original..but sometimes change is good.. i mean look at the dark knight for example.. great movie fantastic movie, but was it ENTIRELY batman ?? no it wasn’t, it was an adaptation that was very en route to the batman we know.. lets not diss this movie until we see it.

ive been a fan since i was a kid but i dont agree with this. if you make a movie based on a game and do not honor anything it originally was than it should no longer be balled the same thing. they changed the ideas, took away the magic, outerworld, and motivations for each character, changed their appearances, then gave it the same name. if they made a star wars movie and everyone used bats instead of light sabers, darth vader was a ghost, and luke skywalker was an actor no one would like it.
